DIY Easter Collage Artwork

Are you having guests over for the Easter holiday? Are you trying to prove to your parents and friends that you are all grown-up with your own apartment and real-person job? If you are hosting a holiday gathering, nothing screams “I have got my life together” than some adorable themed decor. This DIY idea is one way your can add a little festive touch to the party.

The best part? This craft is quick and simple! We have all made our fair share of collages from magazine scraps in our day. No additional skills required! Make everyone think you are acing the whole “grown-up thing.” Nobody has to know that you truly have no idea what you are doing.

  • Old magazines
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  • Picture frame

Easter Bunny Steps

Step 1: Gather up all the magazines you have already read. If you haven’t read them in their entirely, give them a good skim through before ripping them up.

Step 2: Sketch out the outline image and cut it out from the center. I did a bunny, but you can also keep with simple by doing an egg-shape or get fancy with a flower or easter basket. Be creative!

Step 3: Pick a color scheme and find coordinating pages from the magazines. Cut the pages into thin strips. For my image, I went with blues and purples. The day I did the craft, I was feeling calm and relaxed. Had I done it another day, I may have ended up with a yellow/orange bunny! …I may need to try that next.

Step 4: Glue the strips onto a blank sheet of paper.

Step 5: Continue until you have enough surface area to fill in your entire image.

Step 6: Glue the image outline on top. Frame and display! Viola!

Time to get crafting! Happy Spring!

Until next time,

P&P ❤
